More than 3000 pieces of art have been submitted to the secretariat of the festival of resistance. According to public affair department of the second international resistance art festival, one of the main reasons of this great participation is holding the painting and drawing workshops in Tehran and other cities. Needless to say that these workshops are being held nationwide with the help and cooperation of Basij organization, Islamic culture and guidance administrations and visual art centers of sacred defense and Islamic revolution.
Some of the goals of holding such workshops are recognizing young, talented and committed artists and preparing the ground for them to create precious artworks, creating a dynamic artistic atmosphere in provinces, paving the way for artists to get to know each other’s techniques, joint consultation with famed artists and instructors, optimizing the artistic potentials in different fields, stressing on the element of resistance in contemporary art, analyzing manifests of resistance in the face of contemporary visual art, facilitating the way for interactions among creative and active artists in Iran and other countries in particular Muslim countries and preparing the way for founding international center of resistance art.
Some of the themes of the festival are late Imam Khomeini and leadership, reviving the culture of resistance and endurance, Islamic Revolution (backgrounds, results, events etc.), sacred Defense, Palestine, stressing on fortitude and innocence of Gazza, Basij and its contribution to development, scientific breakthrough, national security and economical flourish, soft war and world of Islam: Islamic unity, fighting against arrogance and exploitation, reviving Islamic civilization etc.
Second international art festival of resistance will be held in eight sections of Drawing, Painting, Poster, Photography, Cartoon, Sculpture, Animation and Conceptual Arts.
